Connectivity makes young people happy, human beings being hard-wired to need to connect to other humans. In "Plan Summary," see the subtopic "Students attract students."
Nonetheless, as GMnavy.go volunteers remind other adults of this simple axiom, the response is sometimes a quizzical stare...and on occasion, such response as follows:
● Reacting to the theory of a GMnavy.go volunteer that "students attract students," a certain chief scientist at NASA shook his head no and said . . . "Avatars," adding, "Students will be attracted by avatars." (Avatars, of course, are not real people.)
● Several months following the avatar comment, MySpace was launched, forever making the "students-attract-students" point easier to convey to adults—yet seemingly still far from being intuitive.
As the GMnavy.go model takes hold in the lives of young people, the Staff will increasingly fade into the background and students will more fully operate the franchise (see the subtopic "Franchise" in exhibit "S"), conceivably leveraging The Model's "students attract students" principle to a new plateau.
